The concept calls for connecting the two similar Wilhelminian-style buildings, designed by the same architect, above the eaves in the form of a clearly defined two-story structure, thereby creating a shared silhouette for both buildings. The street-facing exterior shell appears as a striking, homogeneous surface with the same slope as the roof structure above the historic central risalit of House No. 20, but does not extend beyond it. This screen of lightly tinted glass forms the central design concept of the project. It creates a transparent barrier against traffic noise while simultaneously unveiling the open view to the south and creating, in front of the apartments, an intermediate zone that extends the living space with open terrace areas and conservatory-like open spaces. In this way, high-quality living in a busy downtown location becomes possible.
